In Development
Synopsis
Over the course of a single afternoon, a woman waits for an appointment she is no longer sure she wants to attend. Surrounded by muted conversations, fluorescent light, and the choreography of everyday bureaucracy, she drifts between attention and detachment. As time stretches, the room becomes more than a place of transit: it turns into a suspended space where memory, fear, and absurdity quietly surface.
The Waiting Room is a short film about stillness, anticipation, and the fragile emotional charge hidden inside ordinary public spaces.
Artistic note
The film is built around repetition, pauses, and the quiet tension of waiting. Through minimal dialogue and close attention to gesture, sound, and spatial detail, it explores how an apparently banal setting can become emotionally unstable.
